It includes the infamous Jericho Gap and the historic segment of Route 66 through Conway (Listed in the National Register of Historic Places) Click on the town icons of the map for a link to more detailed information on their attractions, landmarks, history and accommodations plus detailed local maps.
This Google Map shows the different courses taken by Route 66 over the years across Texas and the dropdown menus provide links to all the towns along US Highway 66 for even more detailed information.
Pale Blue line marks the Historic Route 66 alignment where it can still be driven. Red line shows the parts where Interstate highway I-40 overlaps the original roadbed of US 66. Blue line shows the road that is now overlaid by Amarillo's airport. Black line is the Jericho Gap segment, part of which can be driven.
